I have a NuWave Oven and I have been using it for several months with wonderful results.

Based on that experience I ordered the induction plate and took advantage of their two for the price of one deal.

On using them the first time they both failed. They give you the E7 or E8 errors both of which indicate that the unit has shut down due to overheating. On my calling support they were graciously replaced immediately. The two replacements also failed. If you use them at a low temperature they work. The reason I ordered these units is because they advertise that their top temperature is 575 degrees Fahrenheit. Anything above 375 and they cut out. I have a laser remote thermometer that is calibrated using ice and boiling water so that I know it is accurate. When you are set at 375 the actual temperature varies among the 4 units but hovers around 275-300. I have a heavy duty professional induction plate and the temperatures are quite accurate. Its top temperature is 460 and that is why I ordered the NuWave.

The head of the support team, a fellow named Artura told me to simply send them back (two at my expense) and I will get a refund, less the initial shipping costs, which were $ 60.00. For 4 failed units it will cost me about $ 80.00 after returning them and I will have nothing. Thy sent me return labels for only 2 units.

I have decided to keep two and use them as warming plates when serving guests. They are useless for cooking other than slow cooking.

The professional unit is has 3/4 "legs, leaving plenty of room for air circulation under the unit and for the fan not to be choked. The Nuwave has about 1/4" clearance for the fan. I firmly believe the unit is failing because of this small clearance. When I raise it higher, it works better. I have been informed that I will lose my warranty if I raise it as it is now noted in my report.

I should have read reviews on the unit before ordering. I went ahead, based on my great satisfaction with the NuWave oven. The reviews are awful. They are awful with respect to the product and awful with respect to the customer service.

This company is not meeting the advertised specifications of their products or even close.

People must be warned.

I just received two Nuwave cooktops in the mail. Neither one of these units worked out of the box.

I purchase units to replace my older tired Nuwave cooktops. I was expecting the same quality or better. Big disappointment!

Buyer beware, Nuwave has gone downhill! SAVE YOUR MONEY!
